Draque is a doll line based on mythological dragons. Each doll is carefully designed to represent a dragon from around the world.
The first step in the [roject was designing a logo for the brand of Draque. In 2025 tehre was an emerging trend of Y2k style and design. Especially in younger audiences. I played around for a while with different designs, attempting to find ways bring this idea to life.

The final logo for Draque

Dalia was my first design. She went through several adaptations. I had originally begun designing her with a mythological touch. However, the better designs came when I blended myth with modern Y2K fashion style. Dalia is based on Egyptian Dragonic myth. Egyptian dragons were serpents. Wingless snake creatures, often depicted taking many forms from a protective serpent around the Boat of teh sun, to a snake with legs or a cat-like body.
The lore behind each dragon was very important to the design elements of the dolls.

The final concept for Dalia's desgin

I continued the process through to the next dolls in the line. Sketching, degsining and coloring before final concepts for finalized dolls and illustrations.

Once I had finished the designs for each of the dolls, I could begin creating the packaging for them. I had to think about the concept of dragons and how we could visualize that into a packaging. I also had to consider the design themes present in the doll's clothing and the logo.
The packaging sketches went through many adaptations before landing on the wide dragon mouth design.
The boxes were wide across, and the illustrations on the back were complex. There was something there I found intresting however, ultimately, I did not find myself reaching my goal. So I made more changes, more Illustrations and more observations.
The final design included simple graphic illustrations of each doll on all of the boxes, encouraging teh customer to collect everyone. I found the original box too wide and thick. It was bulky, and I wanted more uniform. So the dieline was slimmed down.
